I curated a selection of works by five artists for the broadcast and streaming radioCona 0.2425 FM soundart exhibition February 28 – March 3, 2016 after nautical twilight 6:16 PM on 88.8MHz FM and live streaming on www.radiocona.si Ljubljana.
This edition of the annual exhibition is dedicated to the Earth’s orbit around the Sun, focusing on the dimension of nighttime radio transmission and the idea of heightened perception that can happen only by withdrawing from daytime rhythms.
In addition, my own
“SoundTent At Camp Sherwin” was selected by one of the other curators.

I’m excited to be performing with Anna Friz again, and we’re honored to be the “pre-festival teaser” for the
. 2013 Megapolis Audio Festival
Our previous performance with Anna’s radio installation was in
. Before that, we performed on tour in the Eastern US, while creating Respire (2011) at ESS (2007) at the Dancing Walls Stir the Prairie free103point9.org Wave Farm, for broadcast on Kunstradio-Radiokunst in Vienna. Our very first collaboration took place in the 2005 Deep Wireless Festival, with a different instrumentarium. Our radio theater work, entitled Other Music was created and performed with Evalyn Parry (text, voice, cassette player), Chris Brookes (voice, cassette player), Anna Friz (voice, cassette player), and myself (springboard). You can listen to the recording here. (Recorded live at The Drake Hotel on May 27, 2005; duration 9:01.)

ESS posted my performance with
Anna Friz for the opening of Respire at Audible on its SoundCloud . What you hear, amongst a roomful of radios receiving the sounds of breathing and other bodily exclamations typically absent from regular radio programming, is Anna playing amplified sruti, mbira, and electronics. I performed on the profile Springboard and Korg MS-20. We performed on Friday July 16, 2011. Listen here: Anna Friz and Eric Leonardson Live in Studio A by Experimental Sound Studio
