September 7, Nature on Tap! The Sounds of Summer: Music of the Night

Nature on Tap

Join me for a soundwalk exploring our summer soundscape at night at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, for Nature on Tap! Fellow Midwest Society for Acoustic Ecology (MSAE) members and School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) students will perform their nature-inspired music.

6-9:00 PM Wednesday, September 7

Midwest Society for Acoustic Ecology members and local musicians KG Price (percussion), Jen Hill (cello), Frank Harrer (invented instruments), and Christopher Preissing (flute) will engage you in their nature inspired music.

This month’s theme: The Sounds of Summer: Music of the Night

This event, one of the monthly Nature on Tap series, is a chance to explore the museum kids free. Stroll through the exhibits, including the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven, with a craft beer or a glass of wine. Bring your friends and enter the trivia competition or play board games while you listen to live music. Meet some of our resident animals at a live critter connection.

In addition, my own “SoundTent At Camp Sherwin” was selected by one of the other curators.
