radioCona:0.2425 – FM Soundart Exhibition, February 28 – March 3



I curated a selection of works by five artists for the radioCona 0.2425 FM soundart exhibition broadcast and streaming February 28 – March 3, 2016 after nautical twilight 6:16 PM on 88.8MHz FM and live streaming on Ljubljana.

This edition of the annual exhibition is dedicated to the Earth’s orbit around the Sun, focusing on the dimension of nighttime radio transmission and the idea of heightened perception that can happen only by withdrawing from daytime rhythms.

In addition, my own “SoundTent At Camp Sherwin” was selected by one of the other curators.

AUDIOPARC et lancement de la programmation de l’automne 2012

AudioParc bannerAndra McCartney and Eric Leonardson speak and lead soundwalks around the Métro de la Concorde, for Audioparc, a series of sonic art events curated by Magali Babin and hosted by Galerie Verticale in Laval, Québec. AUDIOPARC is meant to present new and captivating projects with the bold idea to make Laval a playground for the ears.


Launch date: Friday, September 28, 2012 at 17h

AUDIOPARC includes installations, interventions, performances and presentations by artists Andra McCartney, Douglas Moffat, Eric Leonardson (Chicago), Jen Reimer and Max Stein, Nataliya Petkova, Patrice Coulombe and Kathy Kennedy. These will happen through the programming year of 2012-2013.

Book Party for Transmission Arts: Artists & Airwaves

transmissionarts_cover.jpgAmong the work of over 150 artists my early efforts in the field of radio, art, and radio art were cited in a new book, Transmission Arts: Artists & Airwaves (PAJ Publications, 2011) by Galen Joseph-Hunter, Penny Duff, and Maria Papadomanolaki.

On Saturday, July 23 Transmission Arts and WGXC: Hands-on Radio (90.7-FM) will hold a book launch with radio art performances. If you are in or near The Spotty Dog in Hudson, New York (I won’t be there myself, but feel free to drop in and tune in).
