I’m excited to be performing with Anna Friz again, and we’re honored to be the “pre-festival teaser” for the 2013 Megapolis Audio Festival.

Our previous performance with Anna’s radio installation was in Respire (2011) at ESS. Before that, we performed on tour in the Eastern US, while creating Dancing Walls Stir the Prairie (2007) at the free103point9.org Wave Farm, for broadcast on Kunstradio-Radiokunst in Vienna. Our very first collaboration took place in the 2005 Deep Wireless Festival, with a different instrumentarium. Our radio theater work, entitled Other Music was created and performed with Evalyn Parry (text, voice, cassette player), Chris Brookes (voice, cassette player), Anna Friz (voice, cassette player), and myself (springboard). You can listen to the recording here. (Recorded live at The Drake Hotel on May 27, 2005; duration 9:01.)

Performing with Eric Glick Rieman at AV-aerie

Eric Glick Rieman, from Berkeley with his prepared Rhodes piano, will be performing with me this Friday, 8:00 p.m. at the AV-aerie, 2000 W. Fulton Street, Chicago, IL 60612, (312) 850-4030. $8 suggested donation.

This show is a double bill with The Young Equestrians from Brooklyn.

(If you know you can attend, please send me a message. Thanks to the
grief that the City of Chicago has given the folks at the AV-Aerie about
a license, they must promise this is a private party.)
