Go at Art Institute of Chicago

Sound composition created for the imageexhibition Go in the Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago.

February 23–June 4, 2017
Modern Wing, Abbott Galleries 182–184

Art Institute of Chicago
159 East Monroe Street
Chicago IL 60603

My audio composition reflects and embodies the sensation of speed, rapid technological change, and cacophony using selected works from the canon of 20th Century music. These are mixed with my own sound compositions and recognizable real world sounds that document experiences, sensations, and devices for acceleration and breaking barriers of time and space. Many are iconic of artists’ interests in using technologies of speed, echoing the visual and kinetic artworks on display.
