ARTICULAR FACET is a continuation of Julia Miller’s electroacoustic performance project series that began in early 2011 with Joseph Kramer, Noé Cuéllar, Coppice, Andy Ortmann, and Auris.

SKETCHBOOK is Collaboraction’s annual cross-disciplinary performance festival “…featuring the collective talents of more than two hundred pioneering directors, designers, actors, musicians and artists from Chicago and around the country for a jaw-dropping evening of creativity, experimentation, and celebration.”

The Tenth Muse, in An Evening of Original Music and Performance

A new opera by Chicago-based composer Elbio Barilari, The Tenth Muse celebrates the life and poetry of the extraordinary Mexican writer, poet, musician, scientist, thinker and feminist, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. This 40-minute work is performed for one night only in the 5th Latino Theatre Festival (June 19–July 25), in the Owen Theatre at the Goodman.

I perform on springboard with a neo-baroque ensemble performing on period instruments.

This program is part of an evening of original music composed by local artists in association with the Latino Music Festival (Chicago), Lyric Opera of Chicago, Collaboraction and Aguavá New Music Studio. Tickets are $18/$9 (Students w/ID)

Objects In Motion: Plasticene’s “Light Cycle”

Plasticene performs in the Objects in Motion Festival, a three week festival of puppetry, toy-theater, and object-based performance opening Saturday, March 14, 2009, at The Building Stage:

We’ve taken some explorations and put them into a 17-minute low-tech chamber-piece called Light Cycle (featured in Program A) , performed by Mark Comiskey, Brian Shaw, and Laura Fisher, directed by Dexter Bullard, with me providing sound.
