Today my Facebook profile bot reminded me that 10 years ago the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago honored our new ensemble of field recordists and sound collectors, Chicago Phonography to install a media work about our focus in sound environments and recorded representations. The installation ran for one week accompanied by three live performances, for the “Here/Not There” exhibition series curated by Tricia Van Eck and Michael Green.

Read my 2009 post for details on the exhibition and performances, and its citation in the late Polly Ulrich’s article for Sculpture Magazine.
