This will be the first time I perform with Laura. We met at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, when she was my student several years ago. Laura is a sculptor and musician. She plays piano, works with new media technologies such as the ArtBus interface, and recently published an article about her self-built player piano, “The Transfigured Instrument”, in Leonardo Music Journal, Volume 17 . Laura leaves Chicago next month to attend graduate school at Concordia University, in Montreal.
