I am excited to be at University of Hull, UK for the conference taking place from 29 June to 2 July. It brings together “artists and scientists to examine the ways that sound can deepen our understanding of environments.” On Saturday, 1 July it is my privilege and honor to premiere a new work titled Sound + Environment 2017 The Frequent Listener.
I look forward to meeting many
members at the conference, and its two internationally renowned World Forum for Acoustic Ecology (WFAE) keynote speakers, Chris Watson and Leah Barclay. Continue reading

Chicago-based audio artist Eric Leonardson will lead soundwalks in two Urbana parks this week as part of the Sonified Sustainability Festival, to celebrate sustainable practices in the arts. The soundwalks aim to make people more aware of the sounds around them, both natural and man-made. Photo by David Zuchowski
On April 26, the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign news posted this well-written online article by about my public soundwalks in Urbana parks, all part of the Jodi Heckel . Thanks go to Jason Finkelman and the Student Sustainability Committee for their interest and support. In coming months look for a video documenting the festival’s artists and their performances. Portion of this will include the Sonified Sustainability Festival Springboard and my concert at Krannert Art Museum with last October. Carol Genetti and Guillermo Gregorio
