Sorry, No Pike headlines and plays third in helping kick off Now Jazzed sessions pt. 1 as a unifying part of an impressive opening lineup! Come out and witness Chicago culture.

Brianna Tong – vocals, Cam Cunningham – guitar, Zach Upton-Davis – drums,
Khalyle Hagood – bass, and Eric Novak – Sax and Keys

Cordoba closes out the night with a forward thinking nightcap of fusions of style but all jazz related, progressive yet with a musical familiarity that disarms and then embraces you with its soothing complexity.

Steve Slivka – guitar, G.M. Bowles – random instruments, B.A. Rosenblum – saxophone, Alexander Adams – percussion and electronics

Extrapolator takes fragments of jazz and pushes them further down whatever path they were taking at the time, sometimes with meaningless results. But that’s life. And it’s pretty grand!

The fifth installment of the Chicago Improvising Musicians Pool recorded series will be the first presented to a live audience. The lineup is randomly selected from a spreadsheet listing over 20 Chicago improvising musicians, performing together for the first time and recording for a short period as the fates conspire to hear their collaboration. Come check them open the night around 9pm!
